The 29th Winemakers' Celebration showcases regional winemakers. Visitors will enjoy wine tasting, meet with local winemakers, savor local cuisine, and listen to live music. In addition, visitors can buy their favorite wines to take home.
Experience the 29th Winemakers' Celebration
The 29th Winemakers' Celebration will be held in Devendorf Park on Saturday, May 7, 2022. The event features wine tasting and the opportunity to meet local winemakers and chefs.
VIP access starts at 1:00 PM. VIP guests will have an opportunity to meet with winemakers and start their tastings before the event opens to regular ticket holders at 2:00 PM. The main event runs from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and includes wine tasting and delicious bites prepared by local chefs.
The Winemakers’ Celebration includes the Monterey Wine Camp, where guests can learn more about the wine-making process.

Monterey County Vineyards
The event is sponsored by the Monterey County Vintners & Growers Association, which was founded in 1974. The association has over 65 winegrowers in the area. Monterey County has all the right ingredients for producing world-class wines, including fertile soil and the perfect amount of sunshine.
Franciscan friars first planted wine grapes in Monterey County over 200 years ago. However, it wasn’t until the 1960s that Monterey County became a popular vineyard area. Chardonnay is one of the area’s most popular grapes. Local vineyards also focus on Pinot Blanc, Pinot Noir, and Riesling. Area vineyards also grow Cabernet Sauvignon, Zinfandel, and Merlot.

Monterey is one of the world’s premier wine-making regions. Visitors can taste over 100 different wines from 42 different wine varieties. Guests can taste California’s best Pinot Noirs, as judged by Wine Spectator Magazine.
