The inaugural Monterey International Blues Festival sought to bring the Blues back to Monterey County. The first event was held in 2017 to a sold-out crowd. Monterey has brought together the best, most significant, and newest Blues stars for the last several years. The Monterey International Blues Festival aims to preserve the art of Blues music and introduce the wonder of this American music tradition to the next generation.

Be Inspired by Art‍

In addition to inspiring music, the festival will showcase a visual artist, surrealist Kenji. Her work is drenched in vibrant colors and brings an added cultural dimension to the festival. Kenji created a commemorative poster for Motown's 50th anniversary. Her work will delight and amaze you.

The Monterey International Blues Festival brings together the biggest, best, and newest Blues artists. Humm along with tunes you know by heart, and tap your feet with new rhythms.

Coco Montoya

Coco Montoya‍

Coco Montoya is one of the biggest names in contemporary Blues. He's been a solo artist since the early 1990s and is a tireless performer. His latest album, "Coming in Hot," perfectly describes his red-hot style.

Deanna Bogart‍

Deanna Bogart began her solo career in the 1990s and is an extraordinary singer, pianist, and saxophone player. Bogart has won several International BMA's and 22 Wammies, and she's sure to win your heart.

John Popper with the Keith Batlin Band‍

John Popper is the frontman of Blues Traveler and a talented vocalist, guitarist, and harmonica performer. Keith Batlin brings a laid-back Hawaiian vibe to his soulful music. The combination is sure to impress.

Chris Cain‍

Chris Cain soulfully delivers Memphis-style electric blues. His top-notch guitar riffs will leave you speechless.

‍Paula Harris‍

Paula Harris is a South Carolina native with spectacular vocals. Her latest album, Speakeasy, combines Jazz and Blues into a sound reminiscent of 1950s nightclubs. Northern California Entertainers and Music Awards have recognized Harris as the "Best Female Blues Singer" in Northern California.

West Coast Blues Caravan of All-Stars‍

The Caravan has performed with greats such as Etta James, B.B. King, Willie Nelson, and Gladys Knight. You'll be dancing and singing along with the band.

Kyle Rowland plays Gut Bucket Blues‍
