Best Breakfast in Monterey

In the mood to start your day off right during your stay in Monterey? Then head over to some of these locations in Monterey that serve up the best breakfast around.

One of the great things about Loulou’s is that the menu features a local favorites section. All the options on this portion of the menu are served with Loulou’s famous potatoes and your choice of wheat, sourdough or an english muffin. Some of the options on this section include squiddle & eggs, which features calamari steak lightly breaded and served with eggs. Crab cake & eggs features crab cake seared on the griddle and served up with pico de gallo. Wharf Wrap includes potatoes, pico de gallo, scrambled eggs and cheese wrapped up in a flour tortilla. Breakfast is served from 7:30am to 11:30ish. Loulou’s is always closed on Tuesdays. You’ll find Loulou’s Griddle at the Municipal Wharf No. 2.

Enjoy breakfast served all day at Wave Street Cafe. Enjoy classic options such as buttermilk pancakes, omelets or waffles. The Sunrise Sandwich includes a fried egg, tomato, smoked bacon, melted cheese served on a toasted English muffin and includes home fries. A great thing about about Wave Street Cafe is that there is an extensive option when it comes to eggs benedict. Choose classic eggs benedict or switch up and try crab cake benedict, tomato basil benedict or harden herb benedict to name a few. Choose between indoor or outdoor dining on the patio. You’ll find Wave Street Cafe at 550 Wave Street.

Rosine’s Restaurant offers an excellent breakfast menu. Favorite options includes classic eggs benedict served with canadian bacon, homemade hollandaise sauce and served with country fries. The turkey, Avocado and Mushroom benedict is served with fresh sliced turkey breast, avocado and sauteed mushroom topped with hollandaise sauce. Rosine’s Restaurant is located at 434 Alvarado Street.
