Want to be a part of the biggest racing event near hotels in Carmel CA this summer? Attend the Red Bull United State Grand Prix, featuring the MotoGP World Championship at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca! The event boasts the largest spectator attendance of any race held at Mazda Raceway.
MotoGP is the premier motorcycling championship with 18 Grand Prix race weekends in 15 countries. The event brings together the world’s top motorcycle manufacturers such as Yamada, Honda and Ducati together with professional rides from all corners of the earth. There will be two practice MotOGP races on Friday and Saturday, followed by the actual race at 2pm on Sunday, July 29.
Mazda Raceway is nationally known for its challenging road course. None other in the U.S. compares to the dynamic, heart-pounding experience riders are faced with 11 turns, elevation changes of up to 300 feet and a blind Corkscrew turn that drops them 5.5 stories.
If you’re looking for a truly unique experience, take a helicopter ride around the raceway with Specialized Helicopters. During the Red Bull U.S. Grand Pix, helicopter rides will be available at a discounted price of $40 per person or $100 for three passengers. Specialized Helicopters is also offering a charter service from the Mazda Raceway to the Monterey Peninsula Airport.
On Thursday, July 12, the raceway will host the Day of Stars Auction. The event is an opportunity for fans to meet MotoGP stars to benefit Riders for Health. Only 50 tickets are available for this remarkable experience.
Admission to the Grand Pix starts at $25 or you can buy a three-day pass for $75. General admission is free for children 12 and under with a paying adult. Free parking is available Friday and Saturday, with the gates opening at 7am. If you love motorcycling, this is a race you can’t miss!
