Summer is almost here, and that means it's time for plenty of festivals. The great thing about festivals is that you can enjoy great music, delicious food and drinks, and entertainment all while spending time with friends and family in the sunny weather. If you will be in on of the affordable hotels in Monterey this June, be sure to stop by the Monterey BaconFest 2015! So what is the Monterey BaconFest all about? If the name does not sound familiar to you, that is because this festival was previously known as the Monterey Americana Festival. BaconFest 2015 will be a 2-day event taking place June 27-28.
Don’t miss this fun event that will be filled with plenty of food, entertainment, and of course, bacon! Great entertainment will be one of the highlights of this festival. There will be performances by Albert Lee, Chris Hillman and Herb Pedersen, The Silent Comedy, The Easy Leaves, Delany Ann and Southern SunDaze, and more! Since this is a bacon-themed festival, you can definitely expect plenty of bacon throughout the 2-day event. You will find a variety of delicious bacon from different vendors, so be sure to try as many different styles as you can. But the bacon doesn’t just stop at the food! There will also be a ‘Bacon Bar’ that will be serving up some innovative bacon-style drinks including bacon margaritas, bacon bloody marys, and other interesting bacon concoctions! The grand finale will be a bacon competition amongst the vendors, who will be competing for a prize of $3,000.
Tickets for the Monterey BaconFest 2015 are available now! General Admission tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the door. VIP tickets are $45 in advance and $60 at the show, and include early admission, a souvenir, and a preferred seating area. Since this is a family-friendly event, the festival is offering a special family ticket for $25 which is good for parents and their children 17 years of age and younger. Doors open at 11 am for general admission and 10 am for VIP ticket holders. Enjoy your time at the Monterey BaconFest 2015!
